The annoying glow of the backlight LEDs of the Raspberry Pis display at night does not only keep you awake but it reduces the lifetime to keep the display on while you are not watching it.
This tutorial shows you how to insatll a screensaver which switches the screen off after a set time.
Simply start with
sudo apt-get install xscreensaverThe installation can take a little while. If you hav PHPMyAdmin installed, a little dialog might pop up. Make sure you follow the instructions.
After that you will find the screensaver in the Setitings menu.
